Saturday Night Madness
by Claudia Sonea

Not going to the cinema for a movie is becoming a trend. Surf lovers like me appreciate more and more a good movie while surfing the net, feeling the board under their fingers and would a click, watching the movie they want and if they don't like it, they can always click somewhere else. Usually the man in the story goes to the theaters only to please his wife from time to time. But his attitude proves he is no ordinary movie-goer. It's a nasty business after all. Talkers, people who use excessively their cellphones and bored children make you lose your temper and the pleasure of actually enjoying the movie. Then it comes to the financial part, you spend much more money than you would normally spend by sitting back and relax on your own coach. Alternatives exist if you still want to go out to see a movie, but without spending too much. You could always go in theaters, in previews, but it is not the same thing, I would say. However, there is another side of the story. People like theaters, they like going and see the movies on gigantic screens and feel they are part of it. I pity those people because there will always be a killjoy there, spoiling the pleasure of the simple person that is interested indeed. I know big, flat screens are great, but try the silence of your room and tell me, isn't that a better way to watch a movie?
